Someone Set The Sky On Fire

I was on my way to see my Aunt before she had to have her heart shocked, and we stopped at a rest area. The sunset was breathtaking so I fervently wrote something down, and this is what it came to be.

I was at the end of the road

Ready to throw it all away

And then...

Someone set the sky on fire

And it took my breath away

Bleeding colours of the sunset

Washed away all regrets

The sky seemed alive

Nowhere to hide

Someone set the sky on fire

And it took my breath away

It ignited something in me

And now I want to stay

To see the sky aflame once more

Death is no longer at my door

I'll live to see another day
